The 2nd generation Flux WiFi bulbs allow you to create a Sunrise or Sunset timers. This allows you to wake up naturally to light that gradually brightens, or go to sleep at night to a light that gradually fades away.
Here is how you can schedule a Sunrise timer (the Sunset timer works the reverse):
- Select the bulb or group of bulbs you want to schedule a Sunrise timer for
- Select the 'Alarm' icon and click on 'Add Timer'. You should now see an option to create a Normal timer or a Sunrise or Sunset timer
- When you select the Sunrise timer, you will see a screen with the following options
Here is a quick description of what each of these options mean.
- Repeat - by default the timer created is a one time timer. If you want to create a recurring timer, click this button, and select the days of the week you want the timer to fire
- Start Time - when the light will turn on
- Starting Brightness - the brightness level of the bulb when the Sunrise/Sunset alarm starts
- Ending Brightness - the brightness of the bulb at the end of the timer effect
- Duration - how long the sunrise/sunset effect will last. The light will gradually brighten or dim from the starting to ending brightness level within this duration. You can set a duration between 1 minute to 100 minutes
